Amplify!: Ownership of Learning in the English Classroom

What happens when students take charge of their own learning? In a quest to answer this question, two middle school ELA teachers researched and implemented strategies to foster student voice and choice into their day-to-day teaching.

In this workshop, we will share those experiences with you and give you the chance to consider the application of these ideas to your own context. The aim of this session is that you leave with a set of tools and ideas to implement straight away, from simple shifts in practice to more ambitious projects.
