Empowering and Engaging Students through Choice
Feedback form is now closed.
The presentation will take participants through the powerful impact of giving students choice in their learning.  We will look at different approaches to choice for students such as modified choice, genius hour, flex choice, limited choice and full choice.

These results of offering choice in education will be showcased and include greater student engagement in a subject or activity, personalised and individual learning, relevant learning, increased student confidence and independence to list but a few. Drawing on my personal experience and recent research by leaders in the field, examples will be given from the Visual Arts (introducing the concept of Teaching for Artistic Behaviour) and also Language Arts but emphasising that the approach of choice can be used across all disciplines and age levels.

Participants will have the opportunity to consider how they might include choice in their activities and lessons.
