Transitioning From “Old School” To A Contemporary Learning Environment

To “Transit” is to make a passage from one place to another.  How can the professionals in an existing school lay out a meaningful journey from the past to the present in a way that prepares for the future?  How can educators shape bold new layouts for learning?   Holding onto past and antiquated structures inhibits the efforts of teachers just entering the field of education; but even more important, it is undoubtedly holding back our learners. This session will looking at the four structures of school programs—space, time, grouping of learners, and grouping of professionals.
